About North Central President Elect Learning Seminar
North Central President-Elect Learning Seminar (NCPELS) is a multi‑day leadership seminar designed to prepare incoming Rotary club presidents for their upcoming year of service. It brings together President‑Elects from multiple districts in the North Central U.S. region and provides structured training, resources, and peer collaboration so leaders enter their term confident, informed, and connected.
The Core Purpose
- Build clarity around the role of a Rotary club president and the expectations set by Rotary International and the districts.
- Provide practical training on planning a year, running meetings, engaging members, and attracting new members.
- Strengthen leadership skills aligned with Rotary’s Action Plan (Increase Impact, Expand Reach, Enhance Engagement, Adapt).
- Create a cohort of incoming presidents who can collaborate, share ideas, and support one another.
What Happens at NCPELS
- General sessions on Rotary Vision, mission, and leadership expectations.
- Breakout groups for area collaboration and cross-club partnerships.
- Workshops on: Planning the year ahead, Conducting effective meetings, Membership engagement and growth, Goal-setting using Rotary Club Central, Managing club operations, and Using MyRotary and the Learning Center.
2026 North Central PELS Conveners
On behalf of the four District Governors Elect, a team of representatives from each district and local Rotarians comprise the dedicated group that convenes the North Central President Elect Learning Seminar event.
